FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
People enter hypnosis naturally while watching TV, extensive driving, overwhelmed by the beauty of nature, or new romance, as well as right before you go to sleep and upon awakening. This altered state can also be induced by an overload to the conscious mind of visuals, information and mind/body sensation. In this state, the old beliefs are then replaced with new ones. In hypnotherapy, your therapist will simply instruct your subconscious mind to support your desires of what you want consciously.

"The mind, spirit, and emotions are unified with the physical body in one intelligent system, what I call 'the field of intelligence.' The body is not a mindless machine; the body and mind are one."      ~ Deepak Chopra, M.D.

HOW DOES HYPNOSIS HELP PEOPLE?

The ability to reprogram emotional attitudes and reactions is a latent talent within every human being. Hypnosis is the most functional and reasonable way to train life-long attitudes, rather than suffer a lifetime of emotional accidents the conscious mind is unable to change.

IS HYPNOSIS DANGEROUS?
No. The induction of hypnosis is never dangerous to the subject, although personal disappointments may arise because of unrealistic expectations or preconceived misinformation.

"A hypnosis-induced trance state can be used as part of a treatment for many different kinds of conditions. Under hypnosis a patient may be relieved of anxiety, pain, and stress; post hypnotic suggestions to the unconscious mind can be made to promote continued healing. "
~ Candace Pert, Ph.D., Research Professor of Physiology and Biophysics

IS HYPNOSIS MEDICALLY APPROVED?
Yes. The American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association have approved hypnotherapy for use by professionally responsible individuals. The British Medical Association also adopted hypnosis as a viable therapeutic tool in 1958.

WHY HYPNOTHERAPY?
Simply, because it works! You can access the past held in your subconscious to discover the core issues causing symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, fears, phobias, sexual dysfunction, perfectionism or procrastination.

Through hypnotherapy, you can modify beliefs that no longer serve you. Learn the value of communicating with the memories and feelings stored in your body Transform your experience of living by healing the past and realizing your full potential.

IN WHAT AREAS IS HYPNOTHERAPY HELPFUL?
So many people want to lose weight, stop smoking, gain self-confidence, and improve their lives. So many people can’t. They struggle and struggle with diets. They lose pounds then put them right back on. They quit smoking dozens of times, and they resolve to quit completely “next week.” But next week comes and they are still smoking.
